Layla's plane

"Yay! Vulpi, look what I did!" Zenthia yelps excitedly as she jumps to her feet. She looks around at the trees. 'So many, and they just appeared!' Zenthia thinks to herself. 'Now a den made of the biggest flowers!' Zenthia closes her eyes and concentrates.

Vulpi looks around her. Seeing the trees she begins to feel at peace, just as if she were at home. "So, it seems that if we concentrate our surroundings will attempt to match our thoughts. Hmm..." Vulpi briefly thinks and dismisses the shields. Then she pictures a door, one that will lead back to the courtyard Layla had taken her to.

Flowers begin to bloom all over the hallway. Between Vulpi and Zenthia a doorway appears.

"I'm not sure MIss Zenthia, but I believe this may be our exit." With that Vulpi opens the door and steps through.

"Aw. Okay. I guess I will have to play later." Zenthia runs to the door, and walks through it.

Vulpi and Zenthia walk through a pink portal and appear in a white room with an uncountable amount of doors constantly moving up and down and spinning in circles around you they appear to go on for miles in all directions.

Vulpi drops to the ground, unable to comprehend this strange new existence she's found herself in.  From quiet forest to this labyrinth of madness, she feels the panic begin to rise.

Closing her eyes she slowly begins to control both her breathing and her thoughts. After a few moments she opens her eyes and stands up, looking freshly determined to solve this puzzle.

Zenthia follows Vulpi closely, as to not get lost. She looks up at Vulpi, and sees the determined look on her face. She relaxes a little, and lets out a small sigh of relief, then tugs at Vulpi's side. "I don't think this is a dream anymore. It might be a nightmare." she looks up a Vulpi, "How do we get out of this?"

Vulpi looks down at Zenthia and gives a slightly manic smile. "Why, we play a game of course." With that Vulpi takes off running, calling back to Zenthia, "First one to reach the end wins!" (She hopes this will encourage the child to forget everything and focus.) She rushes in a straight line, completely ignoring all the doors, the floor, the walls, or anything else around her. Instead she just focuses on completing her goal. Moving forward until everything disappears but what she wants.

"Hey!" Zenthia shouts, and changes into a wolf. Laughing, "You can't win now!" She begins to run after Vulpi.
(If she passes Vulpi, she would literally run circles around her.)

you run through the seemingly endless doors until they begin to vanish slowly one at a time until only one single door remains directly in front of both of you.

"Told you I was going to win!" Zenthia shouts, pulling ahead to the door. Once to the door she would stop and sit before it laughing. She stands and turns towards Vulpi, "Um.. I forgot I can't open doors in this form very well." At this she holds up her two front paws, still laughing.

Panting a bit from the exertion, Vulpi smiles and replies, "Yes you did, well done. Now let's see where this leads shall we?" With that Vulpi steps forward and opens the door.

When Vulpi opens the door it leads back to Layla who is standing in her courtyard playing her lute.  She turns to both of you.  "Ah, welcome back.  So how was your adventure?"

"Aunt I made a forest appear! I also won the race!" Zenthia would yelp excitedly, running to Layla with her tail waging. Once in front of Layla she would sit before her, tail still waging. "Is there anything to eat here Aunt?" She tilts her head to the side, letting an ear fall flat.

"I'll simply say this, either a genius or a madman designed that labyrinth." Looking at Zenthia, she adds, "Are you alright Miss?"

"Yes. Although I am quite hungry." Zenthia says as she begins to change back.

Layla stands and responds.  "The only difference between a genius and a madman is the intelligence of the people viewing their work." She gestures you both to sit down on a bench and stands in front of you.  "So tell me, what did you learn?"

"That nothing is as it seems." She looks to Layla, proud of her answer.

Layla accepts the answer but doesn't smile.  "Good work Zenthia, then you are ready for your training to being." Over the course of 10 months Zenthia and Vulpi train with Layla.  After the course of training is complete Layla approaches Zenthia.  "I believe your mother is back from her quest.  Are you ready to go back to her?"

Layla puts her arm around Zenthia and teleports her back to the material plane to meet with her mother.
